Yale Club of Nevada is a social network of Yale alumni dedicated to helping high achieving students in Nevada to gain the most accurate information available for understanding admissions into a highly selective colleges such as Yale.

Speaker: Cynthia Mun, Yale ’90, President of Yale Club of NV, ASC Yale College Admission Recruitment Director of NV, will give an overview of the selective college admission criteria. Ms. Mun has over 20 years in working with Yale in the admissions process as an interviewer and as the ASC Director for the past four years where Nevada has had record admits.

Cynthia Mun bio:
Cynthia Mun had a successful twenty-year career in Silicon Valley and in Las Vegas as a VP in strategic marketing. She launched both and eBooks, and in hospitality-gaming companies. She retired from corporate America to become a writer. She serves on several nonprofit boards and is the Co-Regional Advisor of Nevada for Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.

Mun immigrated to the US when she was six years old from South Korea. She grew up in a working class family in inner city Los Angeles. She attended Westridge School for Girls in Pasadena on an academic scholarship. She graduated from Yale University in 1990 and was the first in her family to attend college.

She enjoys sharing her experience of interviewing high school students for Yale admissions for over 20 years , and her knowledge of the admissions process for highly selective colleges.
