November 15, 2003 — Yale/Princeton Football
Pre-game tailgate at Princeton Stadium. Post-game Victory Party/Dinner at nearby Good Time Charlie's restaurant.

October 25, 2003 — Yale/Penn Football
Club members joined with a healthy contingent of other Yalies to cheer on the Bulldogs in their contest against the Penn Quakers at Franklin Field. Although they ultimately lost, Yale made the game exciting with a tremendous 4th quarter comeback to send the game into overtime.

September 24, 2003 — “Adventure Capitalist” Fall Dinner Meeting
LOCATION: The Racquet Club of Philadelphia, 215 South 16th Street, Philadelphia, PA. GUEST SPEAKER: Jim Rogers '64, cofounder of the Quantum Fund and author of the book Adventure Capitalist. Rogers regaled the group with tales of his 3-year, around-the-world trip through 110+ countries.

August 15, 2003 — Camden Riversharks Baseball Game
We had so much fun on June 6 that we headed to the Riversharks’ Campbell’s Field, Camden, NJ, this time for a Friday night game followed by fireworks.

July 17, 2003 — Reception & Picnic for Summer Interns
Backyard barbecue at the home of Bob Roth was held in honor of this year’s Summer Fellows, Aurora Nichols ’06 and Amanda Webb ’06.

June 6, 2003 — Camden Riversharks Baseball
A huge group enjoyed this outing to the Riversharks Arena in Camden, NJ. Thanks to Paul Johansen for organizing!

May 15, 2003 — Annual Meeting
LOCATION: The Cosmopolitan Club, 1616 Latimer Street, Philadelphia, PA. GUEST SPEAKER: Bruce Russett, ’61 PhD., the Dean Acheson Professor of International Relations, Director of United Nations Studies at Yale, and Editor of the Journal of Conflict Resolution. Dr. Russett has been President of the International Studies Association and the Peace Science Society (International) and a Fellow of the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study. At the time of this event, he was teaching Theories of War and Peace, Democracy, Interdependence and Peace, Introduction to International Relations, and the United Nations and International Security. His books include The Once and Future Security Council, St. Martin's Press, 1997; World Politics: The Menu for Choice, Wadsworth, 7th ed., 2003; and Triangulating Peace: Democracy, Interdependence, and International Organizations, W.W. Norton, 2001.

April 23, 2003 — Secrets of the Tomb Event
Alumni from the Ivies, Duke, Stanford, and others gathered for a fascinating evening about the "Hidden Paths to Power" as exposed in Alexandra Robbin's ’98 book, Secrets of the Tomb.

March 16, 2003 — Theater Event
Arthur Miller’s A View From The Bridge at The People’s Light & Theatre Company in Malvern, PA. Pre-play Event: Director David Bradley ’88 gave a tour of the theatre. Post-Play Event: Max Page ’88, an Assistant Professor of Architecture and History at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, led a discussion of the issues associated with the American identity. Thanks go to John Bryck ’88, who was instrumental in arranging this event. To complete the evening, several people also attended the dinner at Places!Bistro after the play.

February 14, 2003 — Yale/Penn Basketball
Pre-game happy hour at the New Deck Tavern. Game Recap: After a strong showing in the first half, the Bulldogs were ultimately defeated by the Ivy League champion Quakers.

January 16, 2003 — Educational Reform Panel
LOCATION: Main Building, Drexel University. PANEL: Rethinking Schools as a Business. Hosted by the Harvard Business School Club of Philadelphia (HBSCP), with several other alumni groups included.

January 11, 2003 — Proof of the Pudding Concert
Proof of the Pudding, one of the premier female a cappella groups at Yale, performed at the The Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, PA. The concert was preceded by an enjoyable social hour with complementary hors d'oeuvres and beverages.
