ALUMNI SCHOOLS COMMITTEE (ASC)

The Alumni Schools Committee (ASC) interviews prospective Yale students in the Philadelphia area and submits reports to the Yale Admission's Office for consideration as part of the student's application. Through ASC, prospective students can contact Yale alumni to find out more information about the admissions process and the alumni's experiences at Yale.

IMPORTANT DEADLINES:

October through November: ALUMNI NEEDED to interview Early Decision Applicants.

December 1: Interviews for Early Decision Applicants are DUE.

December through March: ALUMNI NEEDED to interview Regular Decision Applicants.

March 1: Interviews for Regular Decision applicants are DUE.

mid-March: Yale's Admissions Office selects admittees.

April: Applicants informed by Yale's Admissions Office of acceptance/rejection. ASC contacts accepted applicants to encourage them to say "YES" to Yale.

May 1: Deadline for student acceptance.

mid-May: ASC learns the final admission statistics in copious detail. A summary is sent via email to our interviewers and to the Yale Club board.

summer: Parties for admittees and matriculants in the Philadelphia area are held at local alumni's private homes.
