Yale Day of Service

Give Back. May 15, 2010.

On May 15th, as part of the global Yale Day of Service project (www.yaledayofservice.org), Cincinnati Yale Club volunteers will once again team up with Mercy/St. John’s with a Spring Clean and Spring Green event at their family shelter on Kenton Street in Walnut Hills.

The day will consist of cleaning, indoor and outdoor painting of the common areas of the facility. In addition, we will be brightening up the outdoor spaces with landscaping and flower planters. We expect the day to run from approximately 8:30 am – 6:00 pm.

Basic tools and supplies will be available for the tasks outlined; however, any contributions of gardening supplies, plants, flowers, and painting tools would be greatly appreciated. If you are doing your own spring cleaning and find some gently used professional attire that you no longer need, please consider donating it on the 15 th to the Mercy/St. John’s Success Closet, which provides business attire to the residents seeking jobs.

Please sign up to volunteer at www.yaledayofservice.org. Find Cincinnati by clicking “Service Sites” on the left hand menu; sites are organized by state. Kids are welcome to join.
