Old Blues Luncheon--Tuesday, February 21, 2012

With the recent closing of the Tower Club, the group has temporarily relocated to the Cliffdwellers Club and will meet on Tuesdays to take advantage of the Cliffdwellers excellent Tuesday buffet luncheon. The price will remain the same, $25.00, but the buffet will offer an increased choice of menu.

The second lunch of the year is Tuesday, February 21, starting at noon. The Cliffdweller's Club is located in the Borg Warner Building, 200 South Michigan, at the corner of Adams and South Michigan (across from the Art Institute) on the 22nd floor. We will be in a very nice private room, the Sullivan Room, which seats up to 18 people. An added plus are magnificent views of Millennium Park and Lake Michigan!

The purpose of these lunches is to offer Old Blues an opportunity to socialize on a monthly basis for camaraderie and to give them a chance to exchange views on matters of both importance and unimportance! An update on happenings in New Haven will also be on the agenda. Our main intent is to just have some fun and relaxation with other Old Blues.

Please rsvp to Dick Pinto at kidotnip@sbcglobal.net if you are coming as we need a headcount. Hope to see you then! Your hosts, Dick Pinto '48 and Phil Moriarty '62, '64 MA.

FEB CLUB CHICAGO 2012--Thursday, February 23, 2012

Join fellow Yale alumni in Chicago to celebrate the worldwide phenomenon of FEB CLUB EMERITUS 2012!! Chicago event takes place on Thursday, February 23, in the upstairs bar at Rockit, 22 West Hubbard, from 7 to 10 pm. More details can be found on Facebook. To register for the Chicago party go to this Eventbrite link.

Feb Club was started five years ago by an intrepid group of Yale alums, who, bemoaning the dismal February weather in their corner of the globe, resurrected an undergraduate tradition of dubious origin and initiated a group of casual get-togethers in various cities each night of the year's coldest month. Three years later, thousands of alums in over 100 cities around the planet celebrated Feb Club Emeritus. Feb Club is nothing more than an excuse for alums of all ages to get together and meet old friends and make new ones in a casual, pressure-free setting--with no speeches, no fundraising, no anything remotely official.

Be there!
