P.L. Kwok
Raymond Ping-Luen Kwok is Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Sun Hung Kai Properties Ltd. He is responsible for the firm's recent expansion into e-commerce through its Sunevision start-up, an umbrella organization of all the conglomerate's technology ventures. He is also chairman of SmarTone Telecommunications Holdings, and Vice Chairman of Kowloon Motor Bus Holdings, Ltd.; Airport Freight Forwarding Centre Company Ltd.; Information Technology Entrepreneurs Association Ltd.; and Versitech Ltd.
Mr. Kwok serves as a member of the Advisory Board of the Beijing Technology Development Fund; the Hong Kong Port and Maritime Board; and the Ninth Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Beijing Committee. He is a non-executive director of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission; chairman of the management committees of the Police Children's Education Trust and the Police Education and Welfare Trust; and Senior Advisor to DynaFund II.
Mr. Kwok received his undergraduate degree from Jesus College, his law degree from Cambridge University, and his M.B.A. from Harvard University. Mr. Kwok has served on several educational boards, including those of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the University of Hong Kong. He and his wife, Helen, are active parents in the life of Yale College, where their son Edward is a member of the Class of 2003.
