YCSC Yale Harvard Game

We were 3000 miles away, but that just meant we had to sing "Bulldog, Bulldog, Bow Wow Wow" a little louder.

More than 65 Elis cheered on the Bulldogs, watching the live satellite feed of the Game in our annual Yale-Harvard Game at Ye Olde King's Head restaurant in Santa Monica. Yeah, so the Crimson beat the Elis 20-13, but hey, we cheered a heckuva lot louder when we made a touchdown! We also outnumbered the 50-some supporters of the Cantabs (now that's a word we know you haven't heard in a while).

At half time, Yale Club prez Ophir and Harvard event organizer Franklin ran a door-prize raffle, giving out several Game historical Game souvenirs Franklin purchased off ebay.

A father of a current Yalie football player thanked us for holding the event because he has never seen his son play Yale football before.

Kudos to the spirited Eli supporters who found their old Game T-shirts. Spotted shirts include: "Bow-wow-wow," "Huck Farvard," and "The Good: Yale, The Bad: Princeton, and the Ugly: Harvard"

Many thanks to Ye Olde King's Head for hosting us!

Kudos for finding these classic Game T-shirts!

Our banner is bigger than Harvard's!

Yale Club Pres Ophir and the Harvard Club prez wrestle over the annual trophy. Harvard gets it this year, but we'll get it next year!

Parag wins a souvenir Yale Daily news Game program in the free raffle.

Thanks to Roberta and Tanya who helped check guests in!

Harvard organizer Franklin did a great job organizing the event (it was Harvard's turn to organize), and getting raffle prizes off eBay.

Good idea: Teach the baby the Bulldog cheers early on!
