Yalies drawn to Comic-Con
July 22, 2006
SAN DIEGO - For the third year in a row, Yalies and friends met up at the San Diego Comic-Con. The nexus point for movies and pop culture, the Comic-Con is where studios have been going to get ideas for comics-based movies, and to promote films among die-hard fans.

At our Yale gathering on Saturday, attendees included Brian Nelson and Greg Pak. Brian is adapting the graphic novel 30 Days of Night into a screenplay, starring Josh Hartnett. Greg Pak is writer on the Incredible Hulk, and the popular Phoenix Endsong series. He says a sequel is in the works, thanks to fan hype over the first series.
Other Hollywood talent included Samuel Jackson promoting Snakes on a Plane, Bryan Singer, Kevin Smith, and others.
