Alums meet superheroes and super stars at San
Diego comic book convention
July 24, 2004
SAN DIEGO - Several Yalies trekked down to San Diego to see Hollywood actors, writers, and directors greet comic fans at the annual San Diego Comic Convention. More than 80,000 comics, science fiction, and fantasy fans attended this year's convention, which assimilated almost all of the 300,000 sq ft convention hall space.

Yalie entertainment attorney Louise Nemschoff arranged for Yalies at the convention to meet at the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. Nemschoff is on the board of directors of the organization that serves as a legal resource for comic book stores or creators who want to protect their rights.
Other attendees included Aman (illustrator/graphics design), Joelle (animation writer for WB's Teen Titans), Brian (Disney consumer products), and K.Winston (Sony Pictures Digital). Yalie Anuerin Wright promoted his comic book he created and published at his Welsh El Dorado press booth. Other Yalies attending included Sara J (from San Diego) and A.Kogan.
