Prof Murray Biggs visits LA
|
LOS ANGELES - Nearly 35 alums and guests practiced their acting skills at two Yale Club of Southern California acting seminars offered by Murray Biggs, Yale Associate Professor of Theater Studies and English.
On Saturday, May 17, a dozen actors work-shopped scenes from Shakespeare to Guare under Professor Biggs’ watchful eye. By the end of the afternoon, actors presented some emotionally powerful scenes. On Sunday, May 18, approximately 20 actors, writers, directors and “laypeople” enjoyed Professor Biggs’ Shakespeare insights and applied them to a selection of monologues and duologues.
Special thanks to Matt Shakman SY97, who donated his Award-winning Black Dahlia Theatre for the seminars. |
