REUNION MESSAGE FROM WEILI AND DAVID

October 2001

Dear Classmates,

We hope that in light of recent events, you and your families are safe and secure. Our hearts go out to those of you who have suffered and we hope that for all of us, the healing process will bring some comfort and some peace of mind.

Remember when we focused on simpler things? Staying up late to study, party, talk with friends… streaking across Old Campus with friends… the Tyng Cup, the Game and Bladderball with friends… complaining about the dining hall’s Shepherd's Pie with friends… Our friends…

Times have definitely changed and so have we. But friendships remain and are now more precious than ever. So, we invite you to rekindle those friendships and make new ones at our 25th (!!) Class Reunion.

SAVE THE DATE: May 30 to June 2, 2002. Even if you think you may not be able to attend, enter this date on your PDA and kitchen calendar anyway… and then try to find a good reason to come!

For the reunion, we’ve booked a terrific dance band. We are planning a tour of Yale’s renovated facilities, and panel discussions on politics, the arts, science and technology and Yale Today (featuring children of our classmates and classmates on the faculty). The Whiffenpoofs will sing and there will be fun activities for young children and teens. We are considering other events, including a class run.

Please follow the registration link on the left to get to the AYA and register your intention to attend. We look forward to seeing you!

Sincerely,

Weili Cheng
David Rivkin
