Jill Grant (Klein) Matthew Grant Class of 2007. Currently a sophomore in Branford. Matt is very happy at Yale and feels he made the right choice. Posted 10/25/2004
Tamara Orgorzaly Vanessa Scurci Class of 2005. Freshman in Berkley (her Dad's College), but she is living in Vanderbilt, like her Mom. Move -in day was quite a thrill, and the emotional and physical memories were overwhelming. Vanderbilt is totally scuzzy, but is being renovated next year. New Haven, on the other hand, has become totally upscale! Chapel St. is full of boutiques and antique shops, as well as Thai restaurants.
Despite the fact that Yale, and the world, operate in etherspace now, her Yale experience vis-a-vis classes, Durfee's, friends, club initiations on the Old Campus, seems to be firmly planted in the Yale traditions. Boola-boola!
David Rivkin Jessica Rivkin Class of 2005. Freshman in Berkeley (her Dad's College), but she is living in Vanderbilt. She is a New Blue, like her mother, Marilyn Aloi Rivkin '76 (the first second generation member), and a member of the Freshman Chorus among other activities. She is loving Yale.
David Rivkin Katie Rivkin Class of 2006. Newly admitted Freshman member of the class of '06. David is certainly going to be spending a lot of time in New Haven!
Carrie Fricke Wingate Mackenzie Baris Class of 2001. The Tercentennial Class. A member of Berkeley College, Mackenzie spent her freshman year on the 9th floor of Bingham, which didn't exist in our day; sophomore year in the "Swing Space"; and her two remaining years in the newly renovated Berkeley. She graduated with honors in History, having been active in the Political Union, LEAP (a city-wide teaching project), the Yale Daily News, and a variety of social/political justice movements. She and about a dozen others lived in tents in front of Commons for several weeks to protest Yale's refusal to join an anti-sweatshop organization. Activism is not only still alive at Yale, but more active than when we were there! Since graduating in May 2001, Mackenzie has been working at a think-tank in Washington DC, affiliated with GWU. She continues to be involved in community service and social activism. Mackenzie's father is Michael Baris, Yale '70, and her stepfather is Chip Gatter, Yale '73.

Tamara Orgorzaly Julian Scurci Class of 2003 Junior at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY. Although we'd never heard of Hamilton before he was accepted, it has turned out to be the perfect place for him. A small (1800) liberal arts college, his experience there has been chockful of good relationships with his professors and the administrators - even the Prez knows his name.
