2010 Mini Reunion Reunions Past Classmate Activities '52 Artists & Authors Class Officers Giving to Yale In Memoriam

Everyone who attended the 2010 Mini-Reunion in historic Charleston SC (March 23-26, 2010 would surely agree that it was a rousing success in all respects. Kudos must be accorded to Mini-Reunion Chairman Abe Claude, who arranged a superb program of tours and events with the able assistance of Absolutely Charleston, an event planning organization. Some 65 Yale '52 classmates attended and including wives, guests and widows of deceased classmates we were a party of 129.

The weather was delightful, mostly sunny with pleasant temperatures. Although local residents told us the cold weather prior to our visit had delayed the blossoming of the some ornamental trees, shrubs and flowers, Charleston is certainly a beautiful city in the spring.

The fashion accessory of choice for a sizeable numbe of our classmates this time was the cane, and a very practical choice it was too because the walking tour of several beautiful downtown gardens, tours of museums, the marvelous Roper House and the historic plantation all entailed a good bit of walking and stair climbing, sometimes over cobblestone streets and brick walks. (It has been rumored that Abe Claude will shortly publish his book entitled "Doing the Charleston," - a fitness program for elderly elis." It is certain to be a best-seller.). To revive our energy levels and keep our stamina up, we were treated to scrumptious breakfasts, lunches and dinners. So, despite all of our strenuous activity, we didn't lose an ounce.
